I'm a female gamer and I've always disliked the notion that video games are just for men. I bought my own Wii and I even beat my boyfriend at some video games (the kart racing one, you know which one). Anyway, one day my Wii console shut down by itself. I turned it on again, but it kept shutting down after a few minutes of playing. My first impulse was to call my boyfriend. However, I didn't because he would probably have made fun of me, so I browsed a little and found this guide. I bought it and I fixed it myself without his help.
The best part, however, happened a few months later. My boyfriend's Wii console shut down on him and I offered to fix it. He couldn't believe it when I returned 2 hours later with his console up and running again. The look on his face was golden.
